Pinnacle Meadow Parking Lot Closure

The Pinnacle Meadow parking lot and access road will be closed starting May 15, 2024. Pinnacle Meadow is part of C.C. Putnam State Forest and managed by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation (FPR).

Work will be occurring to expand the parking area to accommodate two lanes of parking. This expansion will help alleviate parking pressure during peak periods of trail use. As part of this project, Pinnacle Meadow Road will also be graded. The access road, parking area, and access trail will be closed due to construction equipment access and to ensure public safety during the construction project.

FPR hopes to have the trailhead parking area and access open again for Memorial Day weekend, pending weather conditions during the construction process. During the closure period we are asking the public to use Stowe Pinnacle trailhead on Upper Hollow Road to access Stowe Pinnacle and/or Pinnacle Meadow. Other similar trail opportunities can be found using Vermont Trail Finder (www.trailfinder.info).
