SPECIAL EVENT & CATERING LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATIONS
When applying for any Special Event or Request to Cater liquor license during 2024, please be aware of the following:
-
ALL applications must be submitted to the Town Clerks’ office to be approved by the Selectboard PRIOR to submittal to the Vermont Department of Liquor Control (DLC).
-
SELECTBOARD MEETINGS: The Selectboard meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month. A link to the calendar of this year’s scheduled meetings can be found at the bottom of this page. If you are unsure of the dates or timing for submittal, please call.
-
APPLICATION DEADLINES: All applications need to be submitted to the Town Clerks’ office with payment to the DLC. Applications must be received by the Town Clerks’ office NO later than noon on the Wednesday before the Selectboard meeting. Which is typically the first and third (1st and 3rd) Wednesday of the month.
-
APPROVAL: Once the Town Clerk has signed the Selectboard approved applications, the applications are then e-mailed to the DLC for approval. The application must be received by the DLC a minimum of 5 business days prior to the event.
We have found that the best rule to live by with the DLC is ~ the earlier the better.

-
Note the fees on the upper right corner of the application, payable in 2 checks (Town of Stowe & Vermont Department of Liquor Control). Liquor license fees are non-refundable.
