Town of Stowe, Vermont - Request for Proposals/Bids (updated 5/14/12)

The Town of Stowe (Town) will receive sealed bids in the Office of the Town Manager, Akeley Memorial Town Hall, PO Box 730, 67 Main Street, Stowe, Vermont, 05672 until Tuesday May 8, 2012 at 1 pm, local time, at which time they will be opened and read aloud.

The project consists of the recycling the existing pavement, and reapplying the recycled material in order to establish a 28’ paved surface. The recycled base will be overlaid with 1½” thickness, Type 3 bituminous concrete paving. Contract Documents including Instructions to Bidders may be examined and obtained at the office of the Town Manager.

The successful bidder will be required to demonstrate qualifications and furnish a Certificate of Insurance meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents.

The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive irregularities and consider Bidders qualifications and factors other than price in award considerations if, in the opinion of the Town Manager, it is in the best interest of the Town to do so. Bids shall be delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked, “2012 One Ton Dump Truck”. Bids must be received at the Town Manager’s Office, 67 Main Street, P.O. Box 730, Stowe, Vermont 05672 by 11 am on Monday, May 14, 2012. Through its Town Manager, the Town of Stowe reserves the right to reject any or all bids, in part or whole, to waive any irregularities or informalities therein or to negotiate with any qualified source if doing so is in the best interest of Town. The Town of Stowe, VT is accepting sealed bids for a new 4X4 Pumper Truck and one trade in for a 1982 International (Reel) Pumper Truck in "as is" condition.
Bids shall be delivered in a sealed envelope clearly marked, "Bid for Fire Apparatus and Trade In". Bids must be received at the Stowe Town Manager's Office, 67 Main Street, PO Box 730, Stowe, VT 05672 until 1 pm on Wednesday, May 9, 2012. No faxed bids will be accepted.
