SECTION 00020 INVITATION TO BID Mayo Farm Road Widening Project # 12002 The Town of Stowe (Town) will receive sealed bids in the Office of the Town Manager, Akeley Memorial Town Hall, PO Box 730, 67 Main Street, Stowe, Vermont, 05672 until Tuesday May 8, 2012 at 1 pm, local time, at which time they will be opened and read aloud. The project consists of the recycling the existing pavement, and reapplying the recycled material in order to establish a 28’ paved surface. The recycled base will be overlaid with 1½” thickness, Type 3 bituminous concrete paving. Contract Documents including Instructions to Bidders may be examined and obtained at the office of the Town Manager. The successful bidder will be required to demonstrate qualifications and furnish a Certificate of Insurance meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive irregularities and consider Bidders qualifications and factors other than price in award considerations if, in the opinion of the Town Manager, it is in the best interest of the Town to do so.
