Village Center Committee

Selectboard Resolution
Regarding
StoweVillage Center Committee

Whereas Stowe’s Village Center has historically played a central role in our community and the Selectboard desires it to be a vibrant place that serves the needs of residents and visitors;

Whereas it is important to the entire Town that local government invests in our municipal infrastructure, public safety, and aesthetics in order to attract private sector investment;

Whereas it is important that Stowe’s Village Center retains its authenticity while meeting the needs and challenges of the 21st century;

Whereas the Town of Stowe received a Municipal Planning Grant to hire a consultant to provide recommendations on how to achieve these objectives;

Whereas the Town hired Crane Associates, which has completed “The Stowe Village Vibrancy Report” that contains a number of recommendations to assist the community in achieving the aforementioned;

Now Therefore the Selectboard has decided to appoint a citizens committee to help advance this objective in Stowe.
