The Town of Stowe's Recreation Department is located at the David Gale Recreation Center adjacent to the Stowe Elementary School. Stowe Recreation Department strives to provide programs offering quality recreational acitivities to children and young people throughout the year. The Department is also responsible for the scheduling and administration of all events, recreation use and sports activities for the Town owned fields which include the Mayo Event Fields, Polo Fields and ball fields. The Department also functions as the Stowe Middle School and High School Athletic Office with the Recreation Director providing support as Athletic Director for all school sports activities. The Town's Rec Programs include the Summer Recreation Program, Creative Learning Programs, Kids Night Out, senior citizen dinners, Co-Ed Hockey and Softball programs, annual Kids Kaos and Easter Egg Hunt.
